Primary Responsibility

Significantly contribute to company revenue as an active seller of meeting management services in the Rx Worldwide Meetings, Inc division of Infinix Global Meetings & Events.  The Senior Sales Manager will coordinate a direct sales effort using office visits, email/tele-prospecting, customer events & tradeshows as primary sources of new business. The Senior Sales Manager will develop customer specific SMART plans to articulate and measure strategy while maximizing results.


Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct customer visits and deliver presentations to secure new business in the Life Sciences sector.
  • Manage relationships with existing clientele to grow account penetration.
  • Meet established departmental & personal revenue goals.
  • Have strong Hotel, F&B, A/V & Transportation working knowledge.
  • Maintain the sales CRM to provide the most accurate and organized customer information.
  • Responsible for helping to maintain the annual Sales & Marketing operating budget line items.
  • Adhere to all finance policies regarding customer billing & expense reports.
  • Anticipate customer needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all inquiries, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Promote positive customer relations at all times.
  • Be familiar with all company services/features to respond accurately to any customer inquir.y
  • Ability to execute upon the strategic direction for the company and influence others in the support of that strategy.
  • Ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop presentations with targeted messages.
  • Comfortable making presentations in various settings to include key decision makers.
  • Experience developing a SMART plan for their sales effort.
  • Create an atmosphere which motivates and encourages people to perform to the best of their ability, minimizing conflict where it occurs.


General Skills/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of venue sourcing.
  • Knowledge of budget development, meeting space setups, F&B planning, transportation services & A/V.
  • The proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment.
  • Ability to focus on detail.
  • Ability to suggestively upsell additional services as may be applicable.
  • Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of client information and company data.


Minimum of 2 yrs experience as a Sales Manager in the Meetings & Events industry, Pharmaceutical Industry or similar position.  Previous experience in corporate event planning, catering or hotel experience preferred.
